AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED: 'Agorapocalypse' First-Week Sales Revealed
April 22, 2009"Agorapocalypse", the fourth full-length album from the Springfield, Massachusetts grindcore act AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED, sold around 1,300 copies in the United States in its first week of release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The CD debuted at No. 41 on the Top New Artist Albums (Heatseekers) chart, which lists the best-selling albums by new and developing artists, defined as those who have never appeared in the Top 100 of The Billboard 200.
"Agorapocalypse" is available for streaming in its entirety at www.agorapocalypse.com. Released on April 14 in North America (April 20 internationally) via Relapse Records, the CD was recorded by the band's own Scott Hull at his Visceral Sound studios and contains 13 tracks, including"Question Of Integrity", "Trauma Queen", "Agorapocalypse Now" and "Flamingo Snuff". The artwork was created by AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED visualist Florian Bertmer.
"Agorapocalypse" was issued on CD, a limited-edition LP packaged with a 12"x12" full-color, 28-page booklet, and a mailorder-only long-box CD set that includes a full-color poster, four-piece pin set and an embroidered patch.
AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED's J. Randall and Florian Bertmer recently teamed up to design AGORAPHOBIC NOSEBLEED-related skate-decks, including those with "Agorapocalypse" artwork. These decks and more are available now at this location.
"Agorapocalypse" marks the full-length recording debut of new vocalist Kat (SALOME),who joined the band in 2007.
